This [[Help:Semantic templates|semantic template]] provides a simple way to simultaneously annotate a page with the property [[Property:Surface area|surface area]] and display its value in a standardized scientific notation.

Usage: this takes two parameters, the value of the area and the power of 10 for it,
for example <code><nowiki>{{Surface area|6.088|18}}</nowiki></code>

It assumes the value is in square meters.
